January 9, 2010:  Michigan Snow X Racing Association
 Newberry Races
Michigan's best Snow X Racing Series comes to Newberry! Newberry hosts this racing event each winter. We invite you to watch the action and thrill of snowmobile racing!  Exciting, fun, and heart pounding!    Newberry Snow X Races registration is Friday night, 1/8/2010, at 7pm at Zellars Village Inn (7552 State Hwy M-123) Newberry or register online at www.funpromotions.com. Races start Saturday, 1/9/2010, at 9:30am at Zellars Meadows in Newberry, MI (west of M-123 in Newberry, turn left at Dr. Hillary Newby's Dental office, follow the signs). Race classes are from Kids to Semi-Pro. After Race Party with live music by the band Driver, held at Z's Lounge, Newberry, MI.

February 23, 2010:  Blessing of the Snowmobiles and Radar Run
Starting at 11:00am in downtown Paradise, MI, just west of the blinking light.  For more information call 906-492-3219

February 19-20 2010:  18th Annual Top of the Lake Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Show and Ride
Held in Naubinway, Mi (US 2), This year featuring:  Mini Sleds.  All sleds are welcome to come.  Friday, February 19 at 9:00am is a breakfast ride starting at King's Motel in Naubinway , and at 1:00pm a lunch ride.  Saturday, February 20, registration for the Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Show starts at 9am at the Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway, with the show running from 10:00am-3:00pm, including a food booth and swap area.  4:30-6:00pm is the Banquet and auction at the Garfield Township Hall in Engadine (M-117, 7 miles west of Naubinway).  For more information call Charlie or Marilyn at 906-477-6192 or email vallierc@pngusa.net

February 19-20, 2010:  Mardi Gras de Snow, Snowmobile Festival of Races and Games
Held in Paradise, MI, this event features a variety of races on Friday and Saturday and a Parade of Snowmobiles on Friday night at 7:00pm.  For more information call 906-492-3219.

February 26-27,  2010Great Lakes Antique Snowmobile Series (GLASS) -Newberry One Lunger 200 Snowmobile Race
This antique snowmobile race features vintage (1975 and earlier) sleds on a 3/4 mile track. Qualifying  is on Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm;  Friday afternoon kid's race of 25 laps starts at 3:00pm and has 2 age divisions(9-13 yr. old and 14-17 yr. old).  Saturdays big race of 200 laps starts at 10:00am.  Admission for spectators- $8.00.  Registration fee is $250 for big race, youth class $25.00.  After Race Party at The Eagles Club on M-28 east of Newberry.  First Place - $1,000.00,  $250 for pole position.  For more information or to register (by Feb. 20), call S&J Sports at 906-293-9330.  

March 5-6,  2010:  The Luce Moose Rusty Nuts One Lunger Flat Track Amateur Snowmobile Race,
Held at the Luce-West Mackinac County Fairgrounds, 3 miles west of Newberry on M-28 adjacent to The Luce County Airport.  Snowmobile race for 0-400cc, 1975 and older sleds.  Qualifying on Friday, March 5, Races starting 8:00am Saturday morning.  Fun for the entire family, food and drinks available.  For more information call Jeff at 906-293-8955 or John at 906-293-3137 or visit the website at www.lucewestmackfair.com.  Registration forms also available at The Newberry Area Chamber of Commerce, corner of M-28 and M-123.

March 6, 2010:   Newberry Old Stuff Ovals Vintage Snowmobile Race
Held at the TMC Motor Sports Park on M-28.  This race is for vintage snowmobiles, 1975 or older, and is a sprint race on a 1/4 mile oval track.  Youth and adult classes, 5 lap heat races, 10 lap main races. Heat laps start at 9:00am and Racing starts at 11:00am.   $25.00 registration per class.  Mod singles follow Newberry One Lunger Rules.  Stock classes must be original chassis, motor and suspension.  For more information, call S&J Sports at 906-293-9330.

Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association
is a non profit organization that was organized for the purpose of promoting and advancing the general welfare and safety of snowmobiling. TASA also is here to serve the interest of snowmobile owners, to defend such owners against discriminatory legislation and burdensome taxation, to develop a fraternal spirit among all snowmobile and other winter sport enthusiasts, to provide a medium for the exchange of snowmobiling information, to lease or own property for public and association uses and to perform all desirable and lawful functions for the successful operation of the association and in the general public interest.
